  • STEVE ROLSTON has been telling stories in the comic book medium for the past 20 years and has illustrated a range of genres. He won an Eisner Award as the original artist on the spy comic Queen & Country and he has received Shuster Award nominations and a Cybils Award for drawing the teen graphic novel Emiko Superstar. His other comic illustration credits include Ghost Projekt, Mek, Pounded, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Escapists, and Degrassi: Extra Credit.

While he most often works with writers, Steve has gone solo on a few comics such as the cartoony Jack Spade & Tony Two-Fist and his slacker noir graphic novel One Bad Day. He also spent twelve years teaching the art of comic book storytelling at the VanArts school in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Beyond comics, Steve has also provided illustrations for educational children’s books, art direction for an iPhone app, and character designs for both tv animation and video game projects. He is available for freelance assignments when scheduling permits. In 2015, Steve returned to the field he went to school for and has been working as a storyboard artist, writer & director in the animation industry. He is currently directing the Emmy award winning Last Kids on Earth animated series for Netflix. (Bio Source: http://steverolston.com/about/)
